The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
